Do we really need BPA to make plastic products? What are the costs of using substitutes, or switching to plastics that don’t require BPA in their manufacture?
It’s come to light today that rolls of receipt paper at the cash register have the chemical BPA within, and it appears the chemical is getting from the receipts onto dollar bills, and then to our skin. Is this harmful? Nobody really knows. Can we do without it? Why not, until it is proven not to be harmful.
Now, BPA was recently removed from most baby bottles.. voluntarily in the US and per regulations in many other countries.
