One of the favorite tricks of climate change deniers is to state that those who countenance caution are doomsayers, preaching that the end of the world is near. This approach can work with some people because, in general, nobody likes fanatics.
But most real climate change researchers, including scientists, are not fanatics and are not necessarily out there preaching doom and gloom. But they are countenancing caution, which cannot be a bad thing when it means many logical things such as conservation and living within our means.
