Here at Environment Memo, we are still learning about how to do this to make a living, or at least make enough jack to allow for more blogging time. One perplexing thing is that it appears that advertisements coming from Google can be affected by “sensitive” wording or issues.
If Google detects an issue that its advertisers might not like, then it serves up Public Service Announcements that do not pay the blogger. This is all the more perplexing as there is no way to know exactly what Google is looking for. Clearly, there are bad words and the like that are not appropriate to have on a blog, but that is not the case here. Anyway, it is hoped that we can learn how to address the issues of importance while still at least listing toward making a few dollars, without having to self-sensor.
I’ve had to remove a couple of posts that look negative regarding nuclear power, and we’ll just have to see if that satisfies Google. Maybe even this post alone will dissatisfy. Will advise.
